Tambree Wilson

"My favorite KU Talent Search memory was the camp at KU during the summer. It was so much fun being with my peers from others schools, making goals and dreams together. Specifically, my favorite memory was the day we wrote on the stars with positive messages. I still have those stars and have them hanging on my bulletin board in college.

KU Talent Search helped me prepare for college by helping me with all the paperwork that I had to fill out. I am a first generation college student so nobody in my family knew how to fill out FAFSA or even a college application in general. I was also a peer helper for KU Talent Search and became a mentor after I graduated college. Working with the 6th and 7th graders over the summer reminds me of where I come from and validates the reasons I am continuing my education."
